CONSISTENT PROSPEROUS LIVING (CPL)
CPL has everything to do with your POV (point of view). It’s sad to say, but if a “Prosperous Life” is based on how WE view life, it’s easy to see why the body of Christ worldwide is experiencing “roller coaster ride” like symptoms. Our natural view will always be obscured by our flesh. Our flesh is relatively driven by emotion and our emotions vary from day to day. When we apply this POV toward the things of God, it gives the perception that the WORD of God is inconsistent.
In Genesis 18, we find that the Lord appeared unto Abraham. In verse 10 the Lord said, “Sarah thy wife shall have a son”. Verse 12 says, “Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being so old also”. It is funny how she viewed her own condition and responded based on HER OWN view rather than what the Lord said. But take a look at her OWN VIEW again prior to this in Chapter 16 verse 2… “And Sarah said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing”. Now, you mean to tell me that one day she is very certain about the Lord’s restraint, but then on another day the Lord APPEARS to them, and she laughs at his unrestraint (roller coaster effect).
In chapter 18 verse 14, The Lord says “IS THERE ANYTHING TO HARD FOR THE LORD?” The Hebrew word for “HARD” is pala meaning: to be wonderful, be marvelous, be amazing.
In HER view it was impossible or difficult because time had caught up with her and her husband naturally. But through HIS view he was saying, “IS THEIR ANYTHING TOO WONDERFUL OR TOO MARVELOUS THAT THE LORD WOULDN’T DO IT”. Now it’s about TIME for it to happen, verse 14 goes on to say, at the appointed TIME…God told Abram long before this, that he would be a great nation and now it’s about to happen and Sarah didn’t believe it. God’s word is CONSISTENT, it just may take time to manifest itself. We usually get discouraged along the way because we see road blocks, life’s disappointments, and failures. At this point, it looks as if you’re not prospering because in OUR eyes, struggles do not fit the definition of PROSPEROUS LIVING.
GOD IS CONSISTENT! And if we are going to be CONSISTENT IN PROSPEROUS LIVING, We’re going to have to see it like he says it... IN HIS WORD! See it from his POV, so you won’t get discourage. Even if life is getting the best of you and you’re on the bottom, he’s still good on his WORD. God is still consistent in being able to provide. IS ANYTHING TOO MARVELOUS, WONDERFUL, OR AMAZING THAT HE WOULDN’T DO FOR HIS CHILDREN? IT JUST MIGHT NOT BE THE RIGHT TIME!!!!
